**Cleanse with care. Use white sage incense smoke or place under a full moon instead of water for general cleansing. Pyrite has a high iron content and once in contact with water, pyrite can rust or discolor. For a deep clean, wash the pyrite with water and vinegar, then dry. Let it sit again and air dry to ensure all the moister is out and then polish with a jewellery cloth. This will make it shiny.
